We want to take this opportunity to reassure parents and students about the safety of the School District of Baraboo students and share with you brief information about an event that happened this morning.
At approximately 10:15 am, students and staff at both East Elementary School and West Elementary School indicated that there was an unusual smell outside of the buildings. The District contacted Alliant Energy and were advised to evacuate students and staff to nearby safe locations as a precaution while they investigated.
After investigation, and an air check at the buildings, all staff and students are now back inside and continuing with instruction at all school buildings.
Thank you to Alliant Energy personnel for responding, and for the patience and cooperation of our students, staff, and families today.
